These images are amazing, aptly and beautifully accompanied by Duruflé music. Exactly what the entire world, especially world leaders, should see and listen to. ☮️🕊️❤
The music score please
Is it not sung in some marriage services too ? 😊
My uncle sang in a choir singing this piece at Tanglewood under the direction of Mr. Thompson.
10/10 performance great voices ❤
What was the purpose of dflat? Keep it in C! It’s in our blood that way.
This song was performed at my friend's funeral by mclane high School... I joined choir the following year and learned this song. We performed it closely to this rendition. Out of all the songs i learned during high school, this is the only one i still remember word for word. Shout out to ms. Sandham (mclane high School 2000-2001)for all the techniques and tips.
Beautiful Blend🥹❤️🩹
Baruk Hashem, this my jam! 🙏⚓
This is so lovely. I hope to sing it during my next cell group meeting as our dismissal song....
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
These singers intonation are perfect!
Nice Db2
Being forced to watch almost 5 minutes of commercials is horrible. No way to skip. Watching commercials that are as long as the actual viewing time of the content is unacceptable, RUclips. The sound quality is poor and not even stereo.
This piece is perfection . A heavenly choir praising the Lord.
I was in orchestra with Steven, in junior high, in Abilene, Texas. He played the viola, and was a lot better than all the rest of us, put together. A very serious musician, even back then.
So peaceful, thank you
What more beautiful blessing can be bestowed on our fellow creatures in this world? Knowing God hears every prayer and He will always be with us, cradling us in His loving arms. Praise God!❤
This piece was performed religiously at our church. Thanks Peter.
As a former octet alto, this resonates hard with me. You guys sound like us. I miss my group. :)
Amazing choir🙏✝️
I never tire from listening to Octarium directed by Krista Lang Blackwood.
When I was a senior graduating form high school; there were 15 of us that sang Alleluia. we did with by heart and we nailed it. Those were great singers to be with.
Beautiful
this was the benediction at my wife’s funeral several years ago. so beautiful
My church choir is singing this tomorrow as we do whenever someone is moving away and receives a blessing during the service.
Super fucking excellent!!!!!!
I never trivially namedrop, I think it is a sin. But, for the music, and this is a true story. Spring semester 1974 brilliant High School teachers got us performing this and other Thompson pieces under Thompson's baton. This is how this music is supposed to sound. Go for maximum sustain across phrases: it is supposed to ring. There is zero repeat zero vibrato. What he told us was if you can't sing the high notes don't, either for pitch or screeching (not his words) but it MUST BE in tune. You've got the tempi right. He would have said to you what he turned and said to our teachers the first time he conducted us, and I will honor them all by putting it here he said: this chorus is well-prepared. It works everywhere you do it: don't screech, lay out if you can't sing it, keep it in tune. This piece is why I hate vibrato. I also suggest you look into performing this with your tuning note A set to 432 Hertz. Nothing about how the Earth Rings, it's just that much easier on the vocalist. Particularly in any academic situation. Believe me, the Fourth Movement of Beethoven's Ninth sounds a lot better if you can actually physically sing it. It's down slightly like a third of a step I don't know it's not much you can hear it but only if you listen side-by-side and all of a sudden even the tenors are not hurting themselves or at least it doesn't sound that way as much anymore
GOD Bless 😇
Le coeur chante lorsque la main ...offre ! , et danse la Vie ! ! !
That last alto amen phrase gets me every time.
Surely one of the most beautiful pieces ever written, beautifully sung here.
Absolutely beautiful singing.
A-men!
I love this song and I love this performance! Back in the ‘70’s my siblings and I sang this song in our high school choir. This rendition is how it was done by our choir, beautifully! I miss those days! ❤
Excellent.
Beautiful
Wundervoll
Sounds really great. One semitone higher than C major. But in the ante penultimate bar you gave me a fright - uh! The alto has caught a wrong note - should be d-b-c, the b flat is not right. Such a pity! Take melodyne, pitch the note one half up and delete my comment! 😉
My favorite piece of music I’ve ever performed.
💖💖💖💖💖
Beautiful 🙏🏻❤️
The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord lift His countenance upon you. And give you peace. The Lord make His face to shine upon you. And be gracious unto you. Amen. Nicely Done! A well performed acapella ensemble choir piece. Good singers & arranged and directed professionally. May the Lord Bless You & Keep You. A Joyous Noel to You & Yours! Light in the darkness. It's to be seen gleaming through and in behalf of the eyes of you singer-musicians. At a "downer" and uncertain time all over the planet, a small group of Sapiens *decided, together *planned how to pull it off, given the circumstances. *did it *After Bach no well informed practitioner of Ars Musica can neglect or forget the " extra" musicality imparted by a smart, melodic, well toned bass line. Guys: you put your finger right on that, throughout. And then put your soul into Duruflé's inarguable cadence. "Enough to believe," something told me. And that intimation still holds this Thanksgiving Day, 2022. Mark (Arizona usa)
my high school choral teacher studied under Lutkin at northwestern. she taught us this great peace.
Is it only me who still hears that very very very low end note for the bass part???? That was so so so sick! Definitely nailed it!!
I think you missed a 'very' out ;)
I hear it but I don't think its written that way. Alright for the low bass!
Yes, the low C. Although not written, I am glad he added it! It really provides an awesome foundation.
they are singing this in Db instead of C@@dvdcommunications
Yes I heard that low bass. He nailed it!❤
Stunning!
They slowed down the tempo way too much before the amen section.
Awesome.
